Quartz Health Solutions, Inc. is a health plan management and administrative services company based in Wisconsin. Resulting in the merging of two health insurance companies they needed a brand new identity. The logotype for Quartz has soft edges and unique flairs making it approachable as well as memorable. The tail of the "Q" can be seen as a caring arm supporting the rest of the characters.

Lacrosse Footwear is a boot company located in Portland, OR that has been around since 1897. Shine United was asked to redesign the logo, while I wasn’t assigned to the project I had the idea to create a unique arrow icon using elements of the former logo. After sharing the logo on a scrap of paper the logo was quickly accepted and is now being mass produced on all the Lacrosse Footwear products.

ACT Contemporary Theatre is located in the heart of Seattle, WA and has been enriching their communities culture for over 55 years. A redesign of their logo was needed to match the modernity and cleverness that ACT sets to deliver through each of their performances. I created a logotype based on the idea of balance of light and shadow as that is where the true drama resides. With clean geometric attributes this logo is as versatile as it is memorable. I worked on a full set of brand standards to help bring this identity system of life and help inspire performers and theatre goers for the next 55 years.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary, PSE (Power System Engineering) asked Planet to update and strengthen their identity, brand platform and messaging. I updated the new logo to break out of the container to create connection with new letter forms adding impact and presence. The accompanying design system echos the logo updates, adding a modern and innovate look to this forward-thinking company.

Silencer Central is an online retailer of firearm silencers since 2005 with it’s headquarters in South Dakota. I designed a clean angular logo that represents the simplicity and sleekness of the brand. The icon features an ‘S’ made up of two arrows pointing in at an abstracted angled silencer.

The Bob Johnson Ice Hockey School was started by Bob Johnson (my grandfather) and Art Berglund in 1964 at the Aspen Ice Garden in Aspen, Colorado. The camp has been going every summer since then with two session in Vail and Aspen. I’ve attended the camps as a youth player and later helped as camp counselor. Now, I take great pride is helping with web graphics, brochures, flyers and apparel design and logos. The “Leaf” logo combines clean modern type inside an Aspen leaf creating a cohesive and elegant badge.

With a wide variety of beers, Lake Louie needed a poster to promote each flavor. While working with off-the-wall subject matter, these posters were a great exploration of process, composition, color and typography. From sketch to final artwork these posters were a blast to work on.
Several of the posters are honored in both the Graphis Design Annual 2017 & 2018: Merit.
